My senior design project was to take an existing mobile robot, DaNI, provided by National Instruments and expand its functions through additional hardware attachments and software components. We designed and outfitted the rig with an array of tools and functions including robotic arm, line following sensor, and mobile control web app:

We also developed all necessary software in LabVIEW and MatLab to simulate typical automated tasks in a factory environment. This consisted of the robot following lines on the floor, detecting obstacles in its path, locating and detecting the size of objects picked up, and sorting into containers based on object size.
