At Advanced Bionics, my second major task within the R&D department was to design and deliver rapid-prototyped samples of a cochlear implant headpiece that reduced the thickness of the assembly by 30-40%. In this effort I reported to the Director of Mechanical Engineering, Markus Heerlein, who admired the design and exclaimed that, “You work too fast!” We refined the assembly and generated design renders to deliver to the product development board.

Due to the highly controlled nature of the medical device R&D process, the images above are representational only and do not reflect my exact work.
